How GoldMoney Enables You to Protect Your Assets

SMS Text Message - GoldMoney addresses the issue of protecting customer assets by enabling customers to link their mobile telephones to their Holdings. Anyone with a mobile phone can use it to validate payments and fund transfers out of their Holding before authorising the transfer online.

To get started, simply enter your mobile phone number into your Holding (select Security > Set-up SMS from the main menu once you are logged into your Holding and follow the instructions to link your mobile phone). Each time you request to make a metal payment to another GoldMoney customer or to transfer funds from your Holding to your bank account, you will receive a SMS text message on your mobile phone with a unique PIN code and a description of the transfer. Once you have reviewed the details of the transfer, simply enter the unique PIN code into the website and the transfer is completed. Without the correct PIN code, the transfer will not be processed.

Bank Account Locking - Once you have entered your bank account details in your Holding to facilitate the transfer of funds when you have sold precious metals, you can lock the bank accounts linked to your Holding so that no further bank account details can be added. This further protects you because even if someone manages to gain access to your Holding, they are unable to send funds anywhere but to the bank accounts you have previously assigned. Select Security > Lock Bank Accounts when logged into your Holding to lock the current list of bank accounts so that no further accounts can be added.

Disable Metal Payments - If you do not ever intend to use the metal payment facility in GoldMoney to transfer your metal to other GoldMoney customers, you can disable the payments feature in your Holding. Select Security > Disable Payments to turn off the payments function.
