Currency Data Can Be Used in Online Merchant Interface; Also To Make P2P Payments

21 December 2001 - GoldMoney has today announced a live currency feed that can be used for GoldGram payments. This new data will help both merchants and buyers by providing for the first time an up-to-date GoldGram rate of exchange to 20 different currencies.

For example, if a merchant is selling a product that is priced in Canadian Dollars but is willing to accept GoldGrams in payment, the live data will ensure that the GoldGram transfer is of equivalent monetary value to the Canadian Dollar at the time of the transaction.

The GoldGram quotes of these same 20 currencies are also available in a raw data page at: http://goldmoney.com/xgg.txt This page can be accessed programmatically by a merchant server to provide it with current exchange rates.

This currency feed will also enable other enhancements that are now being developed and will become available in Q1 2002. For example, it will soon be possible to display a Holding statement in any of these currencies, based on either historic or current exchange rates.
