Account Opening Fee

GoldMoney does not charge a fee for opening a Holding, and no fees are charged if there is nothing in the Holding.

All metal sales are based on the current spot rate. There are no commissions or other fees when you sell your metal back to GoldMoney.

Metal Exchange Fee

The fees below are applied for exchanges between metals (i.e., silver to gold) and between vaults (i.e., gold in London to gold in Zurich). Therefore, a conversion of silver to gold or London gold to Zurich gold would be applied using the rates stated in the Gold Exchange Rates table below.

Payment Fee

GoldMoney's transaction fees are extremely low at only 1% of the payment amount. GoldMoney charges a minimum fee of 0.01 goldgrams/silver ounces/platinum grams and a maximum fee of 0.1 goldgrams/silver ounces/platinum grams.

For example, a goldgram payment valued at $50 costs 50 cents, whereas a goldgram payment valued at $50,000 costs only $3.69.

• The maximum goldgram payment fee is 1/10th of a goldgram (about $3.69)
• The minimum goldgram payment fee is 1/100th of a goldgram (about $0.36)

• The maximum silver ounce payment fee is 1/10th of an ounce (about $1.84)
• The minimum silver ounce payment fee is 1/100th of an ounce (about $0.18)

• The maximum platinum payment fee is 1/10th of a platinum gram (about $4.63)
• The minimum platinum payment fee is 1/100th of a platinum gram (about $0.46)

Currency Exchange Fee

A currency-to-currency exchange fee of 0.49% is applied to all currency conversions, regardless of transaction size. The fee is in addition to any exchange rate GoldMoney is charged by the banks or exchange providers with which it works.

Please note that US-resident customers are not able to engage in currency-to-currency exchanges.

Bank Wire Fee

The wire fee charged by our bank is deducted from your currency balance before funds are wired to your bank account. For example, the transfer of US$50,000 with an international wire fee of $40 would result in a total debit of $50,040 from your currency balance and a $50,000 credit to your bank account (your bank may charge a fee for receiving a bank wire). The wire fees charged by our bank are subject to change, but will always be disclosed to you before you complete a funds transfer.

Interest Paid on Customer Funds & Administrative Fee

If a customer holds a national currency balance, GoldMoney will pay any interest received from its banks to the customer's national currency balance at the end of the month. Interest is paid shortly after the close of the calendar month. Therefore, interest for the previous month is paid within five business days of the new month. Our interest payment schedule may be subject to change depending on interest payment policies of the various banks we work with, but we aim to make payments monthly.

Table of Current Interest Rates Paid

Interest rates are based on current rates provided by our banks. The interest paid is calculated by using the customer's average funds balance for that month.

Administrative Fee for Customer Funds

An administrative fee of 0.25% per annum (0.02083% per month) is deducted from the monthly interest payment. The fee is applied only if the customer has a national currency balance and only if interest has been paid on that balance. For example, if the interest rate paid by our banks is 2%, the interest income you earn on your money is 1.75% after deducting the administrative fee. If the interest rate per annum is less than 1%, the administrative fee is reduced to 0.10%. If the interest rate paid per annum is less than 0.25%, no interest will be paid.

For customers resident in the European Union, GoldMoney is required by law to retain 20% of the interest paid as EU retention tax.

GoldMoney Kilo/100 Gram Bar Fee

A fee is charged when you redeem goldgrams for a GoldMoney kilo or 100 gram bar, which is 2.75% of the fine weight of a kilo bar and 4% of a 100 gram bar. Therefore, you need 1,027.500gg or 104gg to redeem a kilo or 100 gram bar respectively. Shipping/insurance fees start at £25 per kilo shipped or any part thereof.

Registered 400oz Gold Bar Fee

A fee of 1 goldgram is charged any time you register a 400oz gold bar.

Service Fee

We charge a fee of 1 to 10 goldgrams for completing special requests beyond the services listed above. Fees are based on the time required by GoldMoney staff to complete your request.
